Cement – the 2nd most common material used by man and the 2nd leading source of carbon dioxide; a challenge to recycle 500 million metric tons per year!
CEMENT KILN
Our Cathodes capture CO2 during step 3 and transforms the gas into useful precursors and hydrocarbons. CO2 is concentrated and ready for efficient conversion
Cement Production
- Raw material transformation
- Calcium carbonate (CaCO2) is heated to make quicklime/lime/cement (CaO)
- Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is exhausted by the process
- Each single ton of cement generates approximately 0.9tons of carbon dioxide
- CO2 is repurposed by our process where one ton of biomaterials can generate between $500-$1500 in revenue
